A Tropical Wave moves across the island today increasing the likelihood of periods of showers and isolated thunderstorms across most parishes especially this afternoon into Saturday.

This Morning…
Partly cloudy with possible isolated showers across sections of eastern parishes.
This Afternoon… Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across sections of most parishes.
Tonight… Lingering showers

Jamaicans are urged to take the necessary precautions as the weather conditions deteriorate.

 

Flood Safety Tips

 

 Be ready to evacuate if you live in low-lying or flood-prone areas.

 Decide on likely evacuation routes now.

 Avoid flooded waterways, i.e. Fords, gullies, streams or rivers, either on foot or in         vehicles.

 

The ODPEM will continue to monitor the situation.
