Bog Walk Gorge Reopens as Water Levels Recede

The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) is advising the public that the Bog Walk Gorge has been reopened as the River’s water levels recede below the critical level.

However, the Meteorological Service has extended the flash flood warning until 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 22. Heavy rains are expected to continue affecting the island, especially the eastern parishes.

Motorists are therefore strongly advised to proceed with caution through the Gorge and to continue monitoring the radio for further advisories.
