The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) continues to monitor the current situation in the Northern section of the island, affecting the parishes of St. Mary and Portland.

The ODPEM is advising users of the Hart Hill Road in St. Mary that the main drainage channel is currently blocked, resulting in large volumes of water on the roadway.

As sections of the island continue to experience torrential rainfall, the office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) is urging motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution when traversing flood prone areas.

The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) is advising that continuous rainfall which has been affecting sections of the island has resulted in disruption to normalcy in the Northern region.
